When Callie, a 15-year-old, extremely picky Australian cattle dog mix, was dealing with reduced mobility due to arthritis, she needed help to eat and drink. 

 

Her bowls - a large, deep water bowl, and an old steel kitchen mixing bowl for food -  which she had used almost her entire life, had become too low for her to reach.  Placing them on top of small tables or crates only resulted in spills when she'd accidentally push them off the edge.  The elevated bowls available were all too small, low, or otherwise unfamiliar to her.

Finding something suitable for Callie seemed impossible until an idea was had: Use adjustable pegs on a raised flat surface, then nearly any bowl can be safely held in place.  This idea was the origin of My Bowl Stand and all the applications of the PegSet securing system.
